Fighting Hunger during Fasting: How to do it?

Hunger is the main problem area during fasting. Once you know how to avoid it and make it disappear quickly, Fasting becomes much easier!

The idea of Fasting is to voluntarily decide, for a certain period of time, to deprive oneself of food in order to experience the many restorative benefits that one wants to offer to one’s body.

This requires confronting hunger.

However, the hunger caused during fasting is Temporary and Consensual. It therefore has the advantage of being much better accepted and tolerated by both body and mind.

In a way, the individual warns his body of what he is going to do. The character of survival is not at stake since access to food can be done at will by breaking the fast. So we are half way there, because we do not suffer but decide to fast.

At the beginning of a fast, the body is accustomed to regular food. It is more a habit than a real need. By fasting, we offer the possibility to our body to regulate the “hunger” so that it becomes more legitimate.

The hunger balance has been disturbed in man for some years now since food is available in abundance. The power of Fasting is to allow a “re-balancing” of this hunger signal to allow the proper functioning of the organism.

The “just and true” hunger that we face during a fast is the hunger for hydration: indeed, when we are hungry, in reality, we are thirsty!

The essential remedy for hunger is therefore good hydration throughout the day.

Filtered, bottled, sparkling water etc. is the best ally of fasting. When hydrated, hunger disappears as if by magic in almost all cases.

During a fast of several days, the hunger for “food” also intervenes. Thus mental strength becomes the best asset.

During my coaching session, I can give you several methods to strengthen your mental will to fight the hunger of a fast.

To summarize, the hunger during fasting is:

    • Temporary and Consensual;

    • A sign that the body sends the right signals to the brain to function properly;

    • A sign that you need to hydrate.

This hunger is thus completely beatable, and I am here if you need help!
